FAQs
How Do I Start Working with Inner Sage Psychotherapy?
You can start by reaching out through my contact form to schedule a free consultation call. From there, we’ll talk about next steps and, if it feels like a good fit, set up our first session.
Do You Offer In-Person Sessions?
Currently, I offer therapy sessions via secure telehealth. In-person sessions may become available in the Twentynine Palms area in the future — feel free to reach out if you’d like to be notified when that option opens up.
How Does Teletherapy Work?
Sessions are held over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that you can access from your computer or phone. Many clients find teletherapy convenient, flexible, and just as effective as in-person work.
What Happens in a Consultation Call?
The consultation call is a brief, no-pressure conversation (about 15–20 minutes) to explore what you’re looking for and whether we might be a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, share a little about your needs, or just get a feel for how I work.
What Are Your Fees and Insurance?
I offer 50 minute sessions at a rate of $100-150. I currently accept the following insurance through Headway: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross of California, Anthem EAP, Blue Shield of California, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Magellan, and Quest Behavioral Health. For those who are out-of-network, I’m happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement. I also work with victims of crime through Cal VCB, the California Victim Compensation Board.
How do I Pay for Sessions?
You’ll enter a credit or debit card when you complete your intake forms, and that card will be securely stored on file. It will be charged automatically after each session.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee, except in cases of emergency or unexpected illness.
What if I Don't Want to Tallk About Something?
That’s completely okay. You’re always in control of what you share, and I’ll follow your lead — there’s no pressure to go anywhere before you’re ready.
How Can I Tell if Therapy is Working?
Sometimes therapy feels like a clear shift, and other times it’s more subtle — like noticing you’re a little more kind to yourself, or that you recover more quickly from hard moments. We’ll check in together regularly to make sure it’s feeling helpful and aligned with your goals.
Will You Get Tired of Hearing Me Talk About the Same Things Over and Over?
Not at all — repeating things is often part of how we process and heal. I see it as a sign that something important is asking to be witnessed, not a burden.
