Feeling Underactivated or Shutdown?

I see you there.

You’re not doing anything wrong.

There’s nothing you have to fix.

Being here is enough.

Sometimes shutting down is what keeps us safe.

It’s your brain’s way of protecting you.

If you want to shift, your body can lead — gently, in its own time.

Here are a few things you can do right now:

       Tiny, Rhythmic Movement:

Rocking side to side, bouncing knees while seated, tapping your fingers to a beat.

Rhythm creates a sense of safety and predictability — it begins to stir the system with minimal risk.

       Gentle Vocalization

Humming, sighing, chanting, or even softly singing.

Vocal cords are connected to the vagus nerve — this can directly stimulate regulation and engagement.

           Create a “Just-Enough” Goal:

Choose one tiny action — like standing up, brushing your hair, or stepping outside for 2 minutes.

Small successes build energy and help shift momentum without overwhelming your system.

           Express Without Pressure:

Doodle, journal one sentence, or write a word that describes what you’re feeling.

Expression gives your inner experience shape — it helps you feel more real, more here.
